DERMAL FILLERS
When they are placed beneath the skins surface, they can restore volume, correct static wrinkles and folds and erase fine lines, whilst providing the skin with volume, support and hydration.
The dermal filler procedure creates instant, noticeable effects that can last from 6 to 24 months, depending on the site treated and specific product used.
We use only premium long lasting temporary Dermal fillers. These are a smooth, colourless injectable gel, made from a product which naturally occurs in our skin and joints to hydrate and lubricate.
For your comfort, the dermal fillers we use are formulated using local anaesthetic. A topical anaesthetic cream may also be used for added comfort. Once the treatment is complete you can continue on with your day. There is minimal downtime associated with having dermal filler treatment.
Side effects
As with any medical procedure there are potential side effects that should be fully explained to you prior to undergoing your treatment. Most of these are injection-related, such as swelling, bruising and discomfort which will resolve over a few days. As the Dermal Fillers are made from aprod which occurs naturally in the body, an adverse reaction is highly unlikely.
Complications are rare, these include infection, abcess, blocking of a blood vessel (damaging the surrounding tissue), nodules, and asymmetry.
Who cant have dermal fillers
If you are Under 18 years of age. Pregnant or Breastfeeding, you have an allergy to the product or local anaesthetic, have unrealistic expectations, or you have an infection at the site of injection.
Time of procedure
The actual treatment takes as little as 15 minutes. However, for new patients we allow a 1 hour appointment and current patient may book a 30-60 minute appointment depending on the areas being treated.
After Care
Do not touch the injection sites for 12 hours
Dont massage the treatment areas unless instructed by your injector.
No strenuous excerise for 24 hours.
No sauna/Spa for 24 hours
No alcohol for 24 hours
Avoid pressure on the treated area for the week following treatment.
If possible wear mineral makeup for 2 days following treatment.
